Valencia Cavalcade

Joanne took part in this grand Valencia Cavalcade as a fully armoured knight, mounted on a fine spanish horse along with fourteen fellow armoured knights and sixty light cavalry, provided by Griffin Historical Ltd. Witnessed by nearly 100,000 people the parade was part of the commemorative activities celebrating the 800th anniversary of the birth of James I.

The event was held in the evening as 700 hundred 15th century re-enactors paraded along the streets of Valencia, through the outer walls and gates, into the central basilica and cathedral of Valencia.
